Yzat Kirvell and the Eye of the Great Troll This iPad app is the work of a passionate team of storyteller, illustrator and interactive designer, who were commissioned by Iorelys Studios to create an interactive story and games title. This original creation for children and youth audiences found inspiration in Celtic and Scandinavian tales, myths and legends. These are often populated with astonishing characters, hinting at unseen relationships at play between nature and mankind. They stem from ancient European sources which are still capable of touching our minds. 

A terrible poison spill

The pollution theme that plays a central role in the story of Yzat was chosen as a counterpoint. Man’s irresponsible management of toxic waste and misuse of natural resources are they not sure to have a  profound and disruptive effect on these “Spirits of the earth” as they are sometimes called? And does this not impact the very balance of mankind which needs to stay connected with a living planet? Beyond this story, it is our wish to motivate children and young adults in becoming more aware of their natural environment and how it deeply penetrates our cultures. Additionally we hope to help them find growing pleasure in reading and interest in other languages than their own.
